SOCSO Coverage for Foreign Worker effective 1 July 2024

Latest change in Socso contribution for Foreigner Worker inclusive expatriate and domestic employees effective 1 July 2024.

Existing:

• Socso employer under Caruman Jenis Kedua (Skim Bencana Kerja)
  • Socso employer 1.25%

New (effective 1 July 2024)

• Below 60 years old: Socso contribution change to Caruman Jenis Pertama (Skim Bencana Kerja & Skim Keilatan)
  • Socso employee 0.5%
  • Socso employer 1.75%

• 60 years old and above: Caruman Jenis Kedua (Skim Bencana Kerja)
  • Socso employer 1.25%

Conclusion

Same SOCSO contribution for ALL employees who are employ in Malaysia despite of nationality (local or foreigner).
