Expansion of HRDF Act 2001
EFFECTIVE FROM 1 MARCH 2021
Pembangunan Sumber Malaysia Berhad (Amendment of First Schedule) Order 2021
1. Compulsory Contribution
Employers across all sectors with a minimum of ten (10) local employees
2. Optional Contribution
Employers across all sectors with five (5) to nine (9) local employees and NGOs with five (5) but less than five hundred thousand (500,000) employees
3. New Registration – 1 March 2021
The registration of HRDF employers under the new industries takes effect from 1 March 2021.
4. Levy Exemption
Employers of the new sectors are given an exemption of HRD levy for three (3) months from 1 March to 31 May 2021.
