You’re now able to take up to seven (7) consecutive days of paternity leave for up to five (5) confinements irrespective of the number of spouses.

 

All married male employees should be entitled to paternity leave at leave 12 months before the commencement of the paternity leave. Also, the employee will need to inform his employer of the pregnancy of his spouse at least 30 days before from the expected confinement.

 

**Important note, if the employee’s wife suffers a miscarriage after at least 22 weeks, he shall be eligible for paternity leave.
